Polly Bringhurst
Bio
Polly Bringhurst has been a voracious reader since she was old enough to hold a book and continues to devour novels faster than she eats cheesy popcorn, especially fantasy novels with monsters. One day, about twenty years ago, Polly had the thought: why don’t you write your own book? That little thought turned into an obsession, resulting in three completed manuscripts and...hundreds of rejection letters. Those rejections inspired her to return to college where she studied creative writing. She graduated magna cum laude from Utah Tech University and started seeing small successes with newspaper, website, and magazine publications.
As an elementary librarian, Polly now gets to spend her days surrounded by books, encouraging children to read. When her students asked for a story, she wrote Finnegan Flynt and the Value of Pi, and finally achieved her dream of becoming an author. Polly lives in beautiful Southern Utah with her husband. She loves spending time with her grandchildren and enjoys traveling to tropical places where she can snorkel with sea creatures. She also loves to read on her patio and watch hummingbirds fight over the feeder while lizards do pushups on the fence and her large black cat fails to catch both. Polly believes in monsters and frequently checks under her bed. Maybe you should check under yours.
