Bio
Katee Stein’s life could be tracked by the stories that dominated her imagination. From role-played adventures as a child to a book-bound adolescence, the metamorphosis from reading to creating was as natural as it was inevitable. Although the journey to writing novels was circuitous through raising a family and supporting students as an education assistant, it was those years of stealing minutes through lunch breaks and staying up far too late that confirmed these stories would not be ignored. The mantra ‘word by word’ carried her through the seasons where the words spilled like water and the days where she had to fight for each sentence.
Her greatest supporters are her husband and two children who currently live with Katee in Alberta, Canada, enjoying more than their fair share of sunshine. Katee takes pleasure in the simple things; a sunrise met with coffee in hand, good food made by someone else, and tending to her garden.
