Katie is currently an executive director in the private security industry. She has a Bachelor's degree in Biological Anthropology and a Master’s degree in International Relations and Conflict Resolution, with an Emphasis in Comparative and Security Issues focusing on the Korean Peninsula. Her career has spanned industries like law enforcement, TV and film, culinary arts, and research technology.
Her career and education have instilled her with attention to detail and an annoyingly incessant need to edit, review, and then edit again. This comes in handy when reviewing and editing manuscripts. She truly loves editing for continuity and story. Katie wants readers to lose themselves in another world, suspend belief, forget reality if just for a moment, and let their imagination run free. Relatable characters allow readers to feel seen and help process their own thoughts and feelings. She fondly looks at the spaghetti stains and crinkles in her books from reading at the dinner table and knows all too well what it's like to drop a book on her face because she just couldn’t put it down to sleep. Katie wants to do her best to get more books with dynamic characters and fantastic worlds into the hands of readers! 3/06/24: Welcome Natalie to Our Team!
Natalie has worked in visual design for over a decade in various capacities. She ran a professional photography business for 9 years and loves working meticulously to present people and products in their best light. She loves calligraphy, InDesign, organizing, and any pursuit that allows her the pleasure of creating cohesiveness from craziness.
She is a mother of two and while her greatest joy comes from her children but she enjoys reading, watching shows, and writing in the few hours of life when both kids are occupied. She loves the imaginative worlds of Maggie Stiefvater, Supernatural, Teen Wolf, Leigh Bardugo, Kiera Cass, Brandon Sanderson, and The Maze Runner. 3/01/24: Cover Reveal for Beyond the Wall, a standalone fantasy.
